And the Winner is…From Knoxville Seniors Got Talent
The Morning Pointe Foundation's Third Annual Seniors Got Talent showcase in Knoxville, held at The Bijou Theatre, broke fundraising records by raising over $45,000 for scholarships.
The event saw a variety of performances, with the top prize going to 63-year-old Corkey Miller for her comedic act about aging, who also won the People’s Choice Award. Second place was awarded to Sandy and the Sandsation Dancers for their belly-dance-style routine, while The Tennessee Jewels, a dance and twirling group aged 67-78, secured third place with a Tennessee-themed performance.
The Morning Pointe Foundation, associated with Morning Pointe Senior Living, supports caregiver programs and scholarships for senior care. The event, supported by numerous sponsors and community partners, is part of a series held in several cities, with the Knoxville event achieving a historic high in fundraising.
