Snow Showers Saturday…Don’t Blink - You May Miss it!

Friday we saw a few minutes of sleet/snow! Saturday calls for a slight chance of rain and snow showers in the morning. Slight…so if you blink, you may miss seeing it! 😃 

Man Indicted for Injuring Four Children in Tellico Lake Boating Incident

A Knoxville man, Scott Reasonover, 48, was indicted following a July 2023 boating incident on Tellico Lake, where four children were injured. Reasonover faces charges of Felony Vehicular Assault, Reckless Endangerment with a deadly weapon, Boating Under the Influence, and a child enhancement penalty.

The collision occurred between Reasonover's boat and a tube towed by another boat, carrying four children. Three children were seriously injured and hospitalized, while the fourth received specialized treatment. Reasonover's bond is set at $15,000.

Volunteers Needed for 'Future City' STEM Competition

The "Future City" STEM competition, set for January 20th in Knoxville, seeks volunteers and judges. Hosted by the University of Tennessee College of Engineering, the competition is in its seventh year. Middle school students will present essays, models, and project plans.

This year's theme, "Electrify Your Future," challenges students to design an electrically powered city that is safe for citizens and the environment. Volunteers should register by January 8, with a commitment of 4-8 hours. More Info/Register
