Youth Summit: Empowering Teens for Civic Engagement and Leadership

Area teenagers are extended an invitation to attend the Empower Knox Youth Summit, a gathering designed to foster civic education and engagement among the city's youth. Scheduled for Saturday, February 10th, at the Change Center located at 203 Harriet Tubman St., the event promises an afternoon filled with insights from city leaders, elected officials, and young change-makers within the community.

Attendees will have the opportunity to acquire valuable tools and skills essential for embarking on a path to leadership and making impactful changes in Knoxville.

The Civic Action Summit is set to run from 2pm to 6pm, after which participants will be treated to an evening of pizza and skating from 6pm to 9pm.

Admission to the summit is free. Interested individuals are encouraged to secure their spots by registering in advance.

Knoxville Native Seeks Love in the Countryside on 'Farmer Wants a Wife'

Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old from Knoxville, is featured in the second season of the reality TV show "Farmer Wants a Wife.". Alongside three other farmers with diverse agricultural backgrounds, Kolinsky, a first-generation farmer who diverged from his family's white-collar professions, seeks a romantic partner.

He owns a farm with a cabin, lives with three dogs, and aspires to be a horse and cattle rancher. The show follows these farmers as they introduce five women to their rural lifestyles, discussing relationship goals before choosing a partner.

Spring Election Voter Registration Deadline is Monday, February 5th

Don't miss the chance to make your voice heard in the Presidential Preference Primary & Knox County Primary Election, scheduled for March 5th. The deadline to register as a voter is rapidly approaching - you have until Monday, February 5th, to ensure you're on the voter list.

Here's how you can register:

Online Registration: Quick and easy, you can register online by visiting Tennessee Online Voter Registration.

In-Person Registration: Prefer a personal touch? Head over to any Election Commission office in Knox County. They're open on weekdays from 8am to 4:30pm to assist you.

Mail-In Registration: If you'd rather register by mail, simply download the voter registration form from Knox County Voter Registration Form. Make sure your form is postmarked by February 5th.

As of January 28th, Knox County proudly has more than 299,000 registered voters. Join this growing number and ensure that your voice is counted in this important election.
