Join the Fourth Annual "Stay Home and Read a Book Ball" on February 17th to Support the Children’s Festival of Reading
The Friends of the Knox County Public Library are excited to announce the return of the "Stay Home and Read a Book Ball" for its fourth year! This unique non-event serves a vital purpose: raising funds for the Knox County Public Library’s Children’s Festival of Reading. Participants are invited to contribute the amount they would typically spend on an evening out.
The Children’s Festival of Reading is a highlight for thousands of families from the area, converging at World’s Fair Park for a celebration of reading. This festival, marking its 18th year on May 18th, features a vibrant lineup of storytellers, musicians, authors, illustrators, and community organizations, all coming together to launch the Summer Library Club. Free Legal Clinic This Saturday: Get Expert Advice Without the Cost
Looking for legal guidance but hesitant to out to a lawyer? This coming Saturday, February 10th, offers a perfect opportunity for you to get the advice you need at no cost. A free legal clinic is set to take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in West Knoxville.
This initiative is part of an annual event organized by the Faith and Justice Alliance, which partners with church and faith-based communities throughout the city to offer legal support. The clinic will feature lawyers from Legal Aid of East Tennessee, the Knoxville Bar Association, the University of Tennessee College of Law, and the Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law.
During the event, attorneys along with law students will be available to meet with individuals in need of legal assistance.
