Chase Bank is Coming to Knoxville

East Tennessee is set to welcome a major newcomer to its banking scene.

Chase Bank, America's largest bank boasting nearly $3.4 trillion in assets as reported by Forbes Advisor, is expanding its footprint to our region. Known for its extensive network, Chase operates over 4,800 branches and 15,000 ATMs nationwide.

After making significant strides in Nashville and establishing a presence in Memphis, Chase is now poised to open three new branches in the Knoxville area within the year.

ER Access Changes at UT Medical Center Starting February 19th

Beginning on Monday, February 19th, those visiting the University of Tennessee Medical Center's Emergency Room (ER) will experience a change in their usual route because of construction activities.

The medical center has announced that both patients and visitors will be directed to use the side entrance by the MRI/Endoscopy area, located at the Heart Hospital Fountain Circle, for the duration of the construction.

Please note that this rerouting will not impact patients arriving by ambulance, as they will maintain access to the ambulance bay for entry, as per the University of Tennessee Medical Center's guidance.

K-Town Sound Show Chorus: Harmonizing Knoxville with A Cappella Magic

In today’s local business spotlight, we're excited to feature K-Town Sound Show Chorus, a dynamic ensemble of singers. This group has been captivating audiences with their 4-part a cappella harmonies for 14 years.

K-Town Sound is a proud chapter of the non-profit organization, Sweet Adelines International, and specializes in bringing musical performances to a variety of events. Whether it's meetings, Smokies Games, singing Valentines, engagements, promposals, birthdays, anniversaries, or holiday parties, K-Town Sound adds a unique musical flair.

What sets K-Town Sound apart is their versatility and adaptability. They can tailor their performance to fit the specific needs of an event, offering anything from a quartet to a group of 20 singers. This flexibility ensures that each performance is not only memorable but also perfectly suited to the event's atmosphere and audience.

K-Town Sound's commitment to the Knoxville community goes beyond musical performances. They have a tradition of singing at KARM on Veterans Day during the service pin awards ceremony, performing the National Anthem at Smokies baseball games and the Rossini Festival, and visiting senior living facilities throughout the year.

Looking to the future, K-Town Sound is passionate about involving more women in the art of a cappella singing, particularly younger women who may have lost singing outlets after school. They encourage those with a love for singing to join them and keep the tradition of vocal music thriving.

If you're interested in booking K-Town Sound Show Chorus for an event or learning more about their performances, Janet Brockman and Cathy Bilbrey are your go-to contacts.
