Home Instead - Providing Compassionate Senior Care

Home Instead has stood as a center of care and support for the senior community for over 27 years. This esteemed organization is dedicated to enhancing the aging experience by providing not only practical support at home but also a touch of human warmth and connection

Home Instead leverages a rich history of healthcare experience to offer unparalleled service to Knoxville's aging adults. Kris Brinkmeier, whose career in healthcare spans various capacities—from hospitals and nursing homes to home health—brings a deep-seated passion for assisting the elderly. This dedication is reflected daily in the organization's commitment to helping seniors age gracefully and comfortably in their own homes.

Home Instead sets itself apart with a heartfelt approach to care. Understanding that senior care extends beyond meeting basic needs, Home Instead focuses on building meaningful relationships. Each professional caregiver is committed to ensuring that seniors feel valued, respected, and supported, living by the motto, "To us, it's personal." This personalized approach and commitment to excellence underscore Home Instead's mission to make a significant, positive difference in the lives of the families they serve.

Home Instead's engagement with our community is robust and multifaceted. Notably, the organization partners with the Alzheimer's Association and Alzheimer's Tennessee, participating in fundraising efforts, events, and annual walks to support Alzheimer’s research and awareness. In addition, Home Instead proudly volunteers with Meals on Wheels, delivering meals monthly to seniors in need. Another hallmark of their community service is the Be a Santa to a Senior program, which has, for over 15 years, brightened the holiday season for countless aging adults through gift collection and delivery, in collaboration with local health and senior living facilities.

In spring, Home Instead is excited to host another Aging Adult Round Table - an initiative that brings together community leaders to address the needs and challenges faced by the aging population. These round tables have been a cornerstone of Home Instead's efforts to foster a collaborative approach to senior care and have successfully convened five times over the last four years.

For those interested in learning more about Home Instead's services, participating in community initiatives, or seeking support for an aging loved one, Kris Brinkmeier is readily available to assist. Contact Kris at [email protected] or call (865) 523-1300. Further information can also be found on their website

Join us in acknowledging Home Instead for its enduring dedication to Knoxville's seniors, providing care that goes beyond the ordinary to touch lives deeply and create lasting impacts within our community.
