Food City Center Announces $85 Million Upgrade
The University of Tennessee has announced an ambitious plan to invest $85 million in enhancements for the Thompson-Boling Arena, now known as Food City Center. The planned upgrades will include new club amenities, a revamp of the Ray Mears Room, and the installation of a state-of-the-art, center-hung video board.
Forever His Day Camp for Children and Adults with Disabilities is Now Open for Registration
The camp is designed to welcome children and adults with disabilities, during its Spring session. It offers a range of engaging activities. Highlights include a sensory-friendly Bible story area, an expansive game room, arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, various outdoor activities, encounters with live animals, and a bounce house.
Each participant is paired with one or two personal buddies who assist them throughout the day, ensuring they can fully participate in all activities and addressing any physical or medical needs. The volunteer team comprises medical professionals, therapists, and compassionate church members dedicated to providing a supportive and enjoyable camp experience.
