USPS Distribution Center to Stay and Upgrade Amid Operational Review

In the latest update from the United States Postal Service, the distribution center located on Weisgarber Road in Knoxville is set to remain in place, with plans to undergo several updates.

The USPS has been conducting "Mail Processing Facility Review" studies across Tennessee, aiming to strategize the future of its operations within the state.

This development follows previous considerations by the USPS to relocate some operations from the Knoxville center to Louisville, Kentucky, a move that sparked worries among customers about potential impacts on mail service and raised concerns among employees regarding job security.
