Significant Drop in Gun Thefts from Cars

The Knoxville Police Department reports a significant decrease in gun thefts from vehicles, with a 50% reduction compared to last year, resulting in 23 reported thefts as of March 11th.

Despite this improvement, the department still considers the number of stolen firearms too high and encourages residents to remove or securely lock away valuables, especially guns, when leaving their cars.

They also advise parking in well-lit, visible areas and emphasize the importance of promptly reporting any stolen firearms to authorities, including providing the weapon's serial number.

Rising Concerns Over Delta-8THC Use Among High School Seniors

Knox County Health Alert - A new study has uncovered that more than one in ten 12th graders in the U.S. have experimented with Delta-8THC. This statistic is alarming for public health officials due to the psychoactive properties of the substance and the current absence of comprehensive regulations governing its use.

A specialist in Family Medicine stresses the dangers associated with the consumption of marijuana and its various derivatives. This concern is especially pronounced when considering the implications for cannabis use and brain health.
