Uninjured Pilot Identified in Tennessee River Plane Crash

In a follow-up to our article in the Tuesday, March 26th issue of Knoxville Insider, the unharmed pilot’s name has been released. The pilot, Michael Williams, stresses the peril of complacency in flying.

Despite his considerable experience, he states that a lapse in the standard pre-landing procedure led to a harrowing crash that nearly cost him his life. Williams not only recounts his miraculous survival with minor injuries but also serves as a sobering reminder to the aviation community about the importance of vigilance and adherence to safety protocols at all times.

Knoxville Police Alert - Beware of Counterfeit Parking Tickets

In a recent community alert, the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) warned residents about a counterfeit parking citation purportedly issued by them. The discovery came to light after a fraudulent ticket was found on a vehicle.

Authorities have identified the counterfeit ticket, noting it as the sole instance currently known, yet emphasize the critical importance of vigilance among city residents regarding such deceptive practices.

Residents who encounter a parking ticket that seems questionable are urged to contact the Knoxville Municipal Court for verification. The court's contact number is (865) 215-4311. This measure is part of KPD's effort to ensure the safety and awareness of the community against potential scams.
