A Local Man's Mission to Expand a Local Food Pantry

An initiative led by Jonathon Trotter aims to revitalize the East Avenue House of Prayer's food pantry. His vision includes expanding the pantry to serve more people in South Knoxville. Trotter encourages donations of food and volunteer support to grow this vital community resource.

There are two dropoff locations for those who wish to donate items: 818 Drive E, and 5418 Clinton Highway.

Spring into Hope: A Free Festival Celebrating Mental Health Awareness and Community Resilience

"Spring into Hope" is a free mental health awareness festival happening on Saturday, April 6th from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Ijams Nature Center, co-hosted with UTK Knoxville Sources of Strength and CONTACT Care Line.

This family-friendly event offers community resources, live music, art, speaker sessions, and workshops aimed at promoting hope, resilience, and support, while addressing mental health stigmas.

The festival also coincides with a Free Parking Day at Ijams. Additional support comes from various sponsors, including the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network. For more information or to donate, visit visit Ijams.org or call (865) 577-4717.

Transforming Health and Wellness: A Summit of Innovation and Leadership Sign up by April 1st

Crunchy Mama Box, in partnership with Authority Magazine, is delighted to announce The Wellness Innovation Summit. This extraordinary evening will be highlighted by insightful talks delivered by esteemed speakers, dinner, valuable networking sessions, and the notable launch of the book "Women in Wellness: The Empowering Journey of 35 Female Leaders in Wellness."

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 6th, at the Knoxville Convention Center, located at 701 Henley Street. The summit will begin with speaking engagements from 4 to 6 pm, immediately followed by dinner at 6 pm.

Attendees are invited to immerse themselves in an evening dedicated to exploring the realms of wellness, health, technology, entertainment, and inspiration. Given the limited availability of tickets, early purchase is recommended to ensure participation in this unforgettable event. Tickets must be purchased no later than Monday, April 1st.
