On Saturday, June 15th, from 9am - 2pm, Bootlegger Harley-Davidson will host the "Fight Like KRP!" event to support Kevin Palombi, who is battling Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
The event features a charity ride to Norris Dam and back for motorcycles and hot rods, followed by live music from Michael Roberts and food trucks. Kevin's treatment requires a bone marrow transplant, with his sister as a match, but he faces significant recovery time and financial loss. Tickets are $23.18 per bike. More Info & Tickets
Two Knox County Schools Reschedule Graduation Ceremonies Due to Weather
Knox County Schools announced via social media that two graduation ceremonies scheduled for Saturday evening have been rescheduled due to inclement weather that was forecasted.
The L&N STEM Academy's ceremony will now take place at 6:00 pm on Monday, followed by Paul Kelley Volunteer Academy's ceremony at 8:00 pm. Both events will be held on Central Field.
Decision Pending on Concealed Carry in Knox County Schools
Knox County Schools administrators have not yet decided whether to allow teachers or staff members to conceal carry in classrooms.
This follows a new law passed this week, which is awaiting the signature of Gov. Bill Lee. If the governor does not sign the bill within 10 days (excluding Sundays), it will automatically become law.
