McGhee Tyson Airport's New Mountain Garage to Address Parking Needs

McGhee Tyson Airport is set to transform with the addition of a $190 million mountain garage, the largest structure at the airport once completed. The six-story parking garage, inspired by the Smoky Mountains, will become a prominent feature visible from Alcoa Highway and will obscure certain views of the mountains from the terminal.

This significant project will more than double the current parking capacity, adding 3,500 spaces to accommodate the growing number of passengers, which are expected to reach nearly 3.5 million by 2027 when the garage opens.

Family Seeks Blood Donations After Tragic Car Crash

Following a devastating car crash that claimed the lives of Krista Maples and her 10-year-old son Grayson, their family is calling for blood donations to aid her surviving children. The crash left 2-year-old Walker, 4-year-old Lennon, and 8-year-old Bentlee critically injured. Bentlee required a blood transfusion, prompting the family to ask for blood donations at local Medic Blood Center locations or mobile events to support their recovery and help others in need.

For more information on how to donate, visit Medic Blood Center.
