Local Author Tyann Herman Celebrates the Bond Between a Boy and His Dog in New Children's Book

Local author Tyann Herman has written a heartwarming children’s book in memory of her beloved dog, Zeek. This delightful story follows the adventures of A.J. and his best buddy, Zeek, as they spend a typical day together, filled with fun and laughter. Young readers will be captivated by the duo’s playful activities and will eagerly flip through the pages to see what A.J. and Zeek will do next.

Herman has included special pages at the end of the book, where children can add their own creative touch by drawing, writing, or placing photos of their own cherished pets. This interactive section encourages young readers to create a lasting memory of their special pet—a keepsake they can treasure "FURever."

In addition to celebrating the joy pets bring to our lives, Herman is giving back to the community. A portion of the book’s proceeds will go to support local animal rescues. This month, donations will help provide much-needed supplies to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC, and the Unicoi County Animal Shelter in Erwin, TN, both of which were heavily impacted by recent hurricanes.
