Snow Day 2025: A Benefit for CAC Beardsley Community Farm
📅 Date: Friday, February 7th, 2025
⏰ Time: 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM EST
📍 Location: The Mill & Mine, 227 W Depot Ave, Knoxville, TN
Celebrate and support Beardsley Community Farm at Snow Day 2025, an evening filled with live music, a soup contest featuring Knoxville’s finest restaurants, a silent auction, and a cash bar.
Tickets: (This year, we have a tiered option for Snow Day tickets. Despite Snow Day being a fundraiser, we want our ticket prices to remain inclusive. It’s not a party without our people. But if you can donate a little extra, it helps us immensely as we get ready to provide another year of food, gardens, and programming in our community. So to sum up: pay what you can)
Community Supporter: $35
Classic Supporter: $45
Snowflake Supporter: $65
Kids under 8 attend free. All tickets include unlimited soup!
Highlights:
Live Music: Performances by Adeem the Artist, The Montvales, and Black Atticus.
Soup Contest: Sample vegetarian and vegan soups from local favorites like Potchke, Red Bud Kitchen, and Yee-Haw Brewing Co. Winners receive a handcrafted gourd award.
Silent Auction: Bid online (starting Feb. 3) or in person on unique items from Knoxville businesses.
Sustainable Options: Bring your own reusable mug and spoon to help reduce waste.
Additional perks include delicious bread from Sokno Sourdough and Small Comforts Kitchen and a limited-edition, hand-screened Snow Day poster available for $25.
Proceeds from Snow Day, including bar sales from Lipman Brothers, directly benefit Beardsley Farm’s mission to provide food, gardens, and programming for the community.

Mardi Growl 2025: Knoxville’s Ultimate Pet Parade and Festival

Knoxville’s most paw-some tradition is back! The 18th Annual Mardi Growl, hosted by Young-Williams Animal Center, invites pet owners, animal lovers, and families to join the fun.
Start the day with Knoxville’s biggest pet parade! The parade kicks off in the Old City at 11 a.m., winding through Downtown Knoxville and finishing at the World’s Fair Park Performance Lawn. The 1.2-mile route offers plenty of spots for spectators to cheer on costumed pets and their humans.
After the parade, enjoy the Mardi Growl festival featuring nearly 100 pet-friendly vendors, delicious food trucks, live music, games, and more. Show off your pet’s personality in creative costume contests, shop local, and celebrate the incredible bond between humans and animals.
Mardi Growl supports the 11,000+ pets cared for annually by Young-Williams Animal Center. Proceeds from parade registrations and sponsorships directly benefit this life-saving organization.
