Marble City Opera Presents an Evening of Opera and Musical Theatre
Marble City Opera will present a special concert featuring opera and musical theatre favorites on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Historic Grove Theater in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
The performance will showcase talented artists, including soprano Kathryn Frady, tenor Cody Boling, soprano Jamey Owen, baritone Daniel Spiotta, and pianist Brandon Coffer. Tickets are available now at MarbleCityOpera.com.
Frady, who also serves as Marble City Opera’s Executive Artistic Director, expressed excitement about returning to Oak Ridge, stating, “After the standing-room-only success of our production of Il Tabarro at Melton Lake Park in 2024, we are very happy to be back in Oak Ridge for a concert at the Historic Grove Theater. We will return to Oak Ridge in June for Pagliacci.”*
The Grove Theater, which marked its 80th anniversary in 2024, was originally built in 1944 as a concert hall. It later became a multi-screen movie theater before closing in the 1990s. After years of sitting empty, it was purchased by High Places Community Church in 2004 and continues to serve as a cultural venue for the community. More Info
