Old Time Jam at Boyd’s Jig & Reel

Love old-time music? Join local musicians for the Old Time Jam every Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Boyd’s Jig & Reel. This event is open to all lovers and players of traditional string music, and dancers are always welcome.

No need to be shy—if you don’t have your own instrument, feel free to grab one off the wall and join in. Whether you're playing, dancing, or just listening, this is a great opportunity to enjoy live music in a welcoming and lively atmosphere.

 What to Expect:
 Live string music featuring local musicians
 A welcoming space for players of all skill levels
 Dancers encouraged to join the fun
 No instrument? No problem! Grab one off the wall and jump in!

Read It and Steep Book Club

Do you love books and tea? So do we! Join us for Read It and Steep, a monthly book club where we sip on delightful teas and discuss captivating reads. We meet Every third Wednesday at 11 AM (unless otherwise noted) at The Kraken's Cup (4815 N Broadway).

Each month, we explore a book featuring tea in some way, with the tearoom owner enhancing the experience by offering samples of the featured teas and sharing fascinating details about each brew.

Tickets are available through Tock Reservations for $10 (+ tax), which includes:

  • A reserved seat

  • Featured tea

  • A house-made scone with accompaniments (gluten-free scones available for an additional charge)

The full menu will also be available for those who wish to enjoy lunch or an extra treat. Gratuity is not included, so please remember to tip your server for great service.

Only 12 spots are available per session, and attendance is flexible—join us whenever you can for great conversation, tea, and camaraderie!
