Cars & Coffee at Kern’s Food Hall

Visit Farragut and Topgolf Knoxville Present Songwriters Showcase
Visit Farragut, in partnership with Topgolf Knoxville, is bringing an evening of live music to the community with a Songwriters Showcase on Monday, February 24, from 6:00-8:30 PM. The event will take place in the event space at Topgolf Knoxville, 11400 Outlet Drive, and will feature performances by David Haley Lauver, Karen Bowles, and Mitch Townley.
🎟 Tickets are free! However, advance registration is encouraged for priority seating. Guests can also register at the door, but seating is limited. A special token of appreciation will be given to a select number of participants, and Kapture Knoxville, a local photo booth company, will be onsite to provide the perfect memento.
All three featured artists are members of the Knoxville Songwriters Association:
David Haley Lauver – A Farragut resident and the education & public relations director of the Knoxville Songwriters Association. He has co-written songs such as the Grammy-nominated “Appalachian Blue”, recorded by Kristy Cox, and Ali Shumate’s “Jezebel”, which topped the Bluegrass charts.
Karen Bowles – A West Knox County resident and board member of the Knoxville Songwriters Association, Karen writes in multiple genres, including gospel, country, blues, bluegrass, and children’s music. She was a co-writer of “Appalachian Blue”, a Grammy-nominated Bluegrass hit.
Mitch Townley – An award-winning Knoxville singer/songwriter known for his work in country, Christian country, folk, and inspirational genres. With over 70 independent artist cuts, his work includes a song featured in a Vietnam Memorial documentary and a track on the network TV show “Nashville”. His co-written song “This Side of Sunday” spent eight weeks at #1 on the Christian Country Countdown.
This event is part of the Tennessee Department of Tourism’s 2025 Tennessee Songwriters Week, which promotes music venues, supports songwriters, and encourages visitors to experience the rich musical history of Tennessee.

Knoxville Choral Society Presents A Community in Song
The Knoxville Choral Society proudly presents A Community in Song, an inspiring evening of choral music celebrating light, transformation, passion, and the power of community. This special performance will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 7:30 PM at Central Bearden.
This event features a collaboration with the 2025 KCS Scholarship Winners and the West High School Singers and Chorale, under the direction of Drew Carpenter. Audiences will witness the incredible depth of talent within Knoxville’s choral community as voices come together in harmony.
Under the direction of Dr. John R. Orr, the program will present a rich and diverse selection of choral works, weaving together poetic themes of renewal and connection. The evening’s repertoire will highlight the unifying power of song, performed by some of Knoxville’s most dedicated and talented musicians.
