Discover Knoxville’s Hidden Gem: Central Cinema in Happy Holler

Did you know Knoxville has a community moviehouse that brings a unique cinematic experience to town? Central Cinema, located in the heart of Happy Holler, just one mile north of downtown, is an 88-seat theater offering a rotating selection of first-run independent films and repertory favorites alongside an array of live events, including local film screenings, comedy shows, and private rentals.

Beyond the films, the experience extends to the concessions lounge and outdoor deck, providing the perfect space for pre- and post-movie discussions. Enjoy popcorn, candy, nachos, bottled soft drinks, and a curated selection of canned beers, ciders, and seltzers.

Conveniently accessible from I-275’s Baxter Avenue exit, Central Cinema offers a small rear parking lot and free street parking throughout the surrounding blocks.

Come experience Knoxville’s independent movie scene and support this beloved community More Info
