Marble City Opera Presents Inaugural “Opera in the Park”

Marble City Opera is bringing the beauty of live opera to the great outdoors with its first-ever “Opera in the Park” concert, happening Friday, June 6, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Lakeshore Park in Knoxville. This free, community-focused performance invites everyone to enjoy an evening of music under the open sky—no tickets required!

Led by Executive Artistic Director Kathryn Frady, who will also perform, this concert features a talented lineup of local singers along with cast members from Marble City Opera’s production of Pagliacci (staged June 5 and 7 at A.K. Bissell Park in Oak Ridge).

“As a dedicated nonprofit organization, Marble City Opera remains steadfast in our mission to make opera accessible to all,” said Frady. “This free concert is a celebration of the unifying and transformative power of the arts.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for a beautiful evening of music in one of Knoxville’s most scenic parks. For those who wish to support Marble City Opera’s mission and future performances, donations and sponsorships are welcomed at MarbleCityOpera.com.
