Help Deliver Meals to Seniors this Summer

Looking for a meaningful way to give back? CAC Mobile Meals is in need of volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors across Knox County from May through August. Routes are available every weekday, take about 2 hours to complete, and can be scheduled based on your availability—whether that's once a week, once a month, or just a few times during the summer. Deliveries are a meaningful way to give back, and each delivery makes a difference in the lives of our senior neighbors.

Volunteering is flexible, onboarding is quick, and the impact is immediate. To get started, email [email protected] or call (865) 524-2786. You can also learn more at knoxseniors.org/mobile.

Art Exhibits at the Emporium in May

One of several exhibits at the Emporium is the Knoxville Modern Quilt Guild! This new exhibition features a curated collection of quilts from members of Knoxville Modern Quilt Guild and showcases modern elements such as bold colors and prints, high contrast and graphic areas of solid color, improvisational piecing, minimalism, expansive negative space, and alternate grid work. The collection of small quilts exhibited as a group stems from a challenge in which members all received the same fabric bundle and a prompt to interpret modern quilting elements in a mini quilt.
