A deep dive into the life cycle of honeybees
Learn how honey is made and why bees are vital to our environment
Understand the tools and protective gear used by beekeepers
Participate in a guided hive inspection after suiting up in beekeeper gear
Learn how to support bee health and sustainability in your own backyard
This 90-minute adventure is interactive, informative, and fun for adults and older kids (12+ recommended). You’ll walk away with a new appreciation for bees—and maybe even the inspiration to start your own hive! More Info

The 19th Annual Bob Dylan Birthday Bash at Ijams Nature Center
The legendary Bob Dylan turns another year older, and Knoxville is once again throwing a musical celebration worthy of the icon himself! The Bob Dylan Birthday Bash returns for its 19th year, lighting up the lawn at Ijams Nature Center with unforgettable performances from some of Knoxville’s most talented musicians. May 31st, 5:00pm - 10:00pm
This beloved community event is a heartfelt tribute to one of America’s most influential songwriters, showcasing a five-hour lineup of Dylan classics, each uniquely interpreted by local artists. From foot-stomping folk to bluesy ballads, you’ll hear Dylan’s words and melodies come alive in brand-new ways.

5:30 PM – Crawdaddy
6:00 PM – C&V Radio Hour (featuring Bill Cabage and Griffin Cavender Vann)
