Experience the Magic of the Moonlight: Full Moon Paddle at Ijams River Landing

Get ready for an unforgettable night on the water as Ijams Nature Center presents the Full Moon Paddle, a unique 2-hour guided adventure under the glow of August’s full moon. August 9th | 8:30 PM – 10:30 PM | Ijams River Landing (2915 Island Home Ave)
Join expert naturalists as you paddle along the Tennessee River, exploring its secrets by moonlight. Discover the wonders of the night sky and search for fascinating wildlife, plants, and geological features illuminated by the moon’s reflection.
All equipment provided:
Kayaks
PFDs (personal flotation devices)
Headlamps
Participants are welcome to bring their own paddle, PFD, or headlamp, but personal kayaks are not allowed.
Important details:
Dress for the weather and bring water.
Ages 14+ only. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet at the Ijams River Landing boat dock (not Meads Quarry or the main Visitor Center). Free parking is available on-site.
