Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Cultures at HoLa Festival 2025!

Mark your calendars for a weekend of vibrant culture, music, and community as the HoLa Festival 2025 returns to World’s Fair Park Performance Lawn!
Festival Schedule:
Saturday, September 27 | 4 PM – 10 PM
Kickoff party with live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks show at 9 PM!Sunday, September 28 | 11 AM – 6 PM
A full day of cultural celebrations, ending with the colorful Parade of Nations.
Admission: $3 donation | Kids enter free!

Solar Star Party at Marble Springs

Ever wanted to gaze at the stars in the middle of the day? Here’s your chance! Join us for a Solar Star Party on Saturday, August 23, from 1–4 PM at Marble Springs State Historic Site.
The Knoxville Observers will set up 4–5 telescopes, giving visitors a unique opportunity to see celestial objects in a whole new light. Whether you’re an astronomy enthusiast or simply curious, this event is the perfect way to connect with the universe.

Safe, daytime stargazing through telescopes
Q&A with knowledgeable astronomy enthusiasts
A display of incredible astrophotography from past events
Bring a chair or blanket, soak up the sun, and enjoy an afternoon under the sky.

Call for Volunteers: GermanFest 2025 Needs You!
Knoxville’s beloved GermanFest is right around the corner, and organizers are calling on the community to help make it a success. This annual celebration of German culture takes place Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at First Lutheran Church & School, 1207 N. Broadway.
From traditional German food and music to family-friendly activities and cultural exhibits, GermanFest offers a day full of fun—and it wouldn’t be possible without dedicated volunteers. Whether you’re helping set up, serving bratwurst, welcoming guests, or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, your time and energy will help bring the spirit of Germany to Knoxville.
Volunteering is a great way to connect with the community, meet new friends, and be part of one of the city’s most anticipated summer events. Shifts are flexible, so you can still enjoy plenty of the festivities while lending a hand.
