PAT - World-Premier Play on the Life of Coach Pat Summitt

A new one-woman play honoring legendary Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt is coming to downtown Knoxville. PAT, written by local playwright Lisa Soland, runs October 3rd–26th at the Old City Performing Arts Center, with proceeds benefiting the Pat Summitt Foundation in its fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

The play follows Pat’s journey from her Tennessee farm roots to her record-breaking career at UT, showcasing her fierce competitiveness, faith, and courage as she faced Alzheimer’s with strength.

Tickets will be available soon at http://www.lisasoland.com/pat-the-play

Flock Spreads Its Wings on Sutherland Avenue

Opening in early September at 2924 Sutherland Ave., Flock is set to become Sutherland’s newest neighborhood hangout. Founded by locals Celia Winchester, Charlie DeBevoise, Brandon Smith, and Charlotte Smith, the spot will feature house-brewed beers, small-batch wines on tap, and elevated-yet-approachable food—all in a cozy, community-focused space.

Expect European lagers, West Coast IPAs, kombucha, sparkling fruited wines, and a menu designed to match. Beyond food and drink, Flock will host live music, seasonal fests, pairing dinners, and neighborhood nights, making it more than just a bar—it’s a hub for connection.

Follow along for opening details at flockbeerwine.com or on Instagram and Facebook @FlockBeerWine.
