Fall Cookie Decorating Workshop

On Wednesday, September 24th, from 6:00–8:00 PM, Volunteer Cookie Co. return to the Kraken’s Cup to host a hands-on Fall Cookie Decorating Class.

In this fun and festive workshop, you’ll learn to decorate six fall-inspired cookies—perfectly themed to capture the beauty of autumn. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned baker, this class offers step-by-step guidance to help you create edible works of art you’ll be proud to show off (and enjoy afterward!).

Tickets are $45 per person and include not only the cookie decorating instruction and supplies, but also a cup of tea and a scone to enjoy while you work. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your seat early to guarantee a spot at this cozy, delicious event. More Info & Tickets

Women in Tech Expo: Grow Better Together

The Knoxville Technology Council’s Women in Tech presents the fourth annual Women in Tech Expo: Grow Better Together, a full day dedicated to connection, empowerment, and professional growth. This year’s expo will bring together a diverse group of women from across industries to share inspiration, strategies, and opportunities to thrive both personally and professionally.

Attendees will enjoy a dynamic program featuring workshops, networking opportunities, and a powerful keynote presentation from Erika Gerdes, a transformational leadership advisor and former Google executive. In her talk, “Finding the Star Within Yourself,” Erika will share her journey of breaking free from limitations and guide participants toward stepping fully into the careers and lives they truly want.

Ever wondered what truly makes a tea a “tea”? On Wednesday, September 17th, from 6:00–8:00 PM, The Kraken’s Cup Tearoom invites you to “What is Tea?”—a guided tea tasting workshop designed to introduce participants to the six distinct types of true tea.

During this immersive evening, you’ll sample more than seven varieties, learn what distinguishes each type, and receive worksheets to help deepen your knowledge. As a bonus, every participant will take home a sample of their favorite tea from the tasting. It’s the perfect gateway class for anyone curious about tea culture, and it also lays a foundation for the tearoom’s future workshops.

Healing Arts of the Ancients: Herbal Medicine Workshop

Step into a world of ancient wisdom and earth-based traditions at Ancient Lore Village on Saturday, September 13th, at 11:00 AM. The Village invites you to a hands-on workshop, Healing Arts of the Ancients: An Herbal Medicine Workshop, where nature, folklore, and wellness come together in an immersive experience.

Guided by the Village team, participants will explore the fascinating history of plant-based healing, learn about common herbs and their uses, and even create their own remedies—such as salves, teas, or tinctures—to take home. The day also includes a stroll through the Village’s lush grounds to meet the plants where they grow, herbal refreshments, and fireside storytelling that brings the lore of ancient healers to life.
