Inskip Parade & Community Celebration

On Saturday, September 27th, the Inskip neighborhood will burst into color, music, and celebration for We Are Inskip: Hear Us Roar! This free, family-friendly event begins at 11:00 AM with parade line-up at the school, followed by a lively New Orleans-style walking parade at noon.
Neighbors, families, and students are invited to march alongside giant puppets, flags, and student-made art pieces. Participants can even grab a creation to carry or make one on the spot before the parade sets off around the school. The procession ends on the back lawn, where a community block party runs from noon to 3:00 PM.
The afternoon celebration will feature live performances from Candela (salsa, cumbia, bachata, and merengue), hip-hop artists from the Good Guy Collective, and high-energy sets by DJ Drewskii. Aerial circus acts, interactive art activities, a community resource fair, and food trucks will make it a true neighborhood festival. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to settle in and enjoy the fun.
Parking is available at Inskip Elementary, 4701 High School Road, and throughout the neighborhood, but plan to arrive before noon when roads will briefly close for the parade. Don’t miss this joyful day of art, music, and community pride in Inskip!
