Intrepid Nitro Coffee & Tea Bar Named Best Coffee Shop in Tennessee

Knoxville’s own Intrepid Nitro Coffee & Tea Bar has officially been named Best Coffee Shop in Tennessee, earning statewide recognition just two and a half years after opening its first location.
The honor marks a major milestone for owners Kris and Season Bowers, who have already seen back-to-back wins as Best Coffee Shop in Knoxville over the past two years.
Described as a craft brewery for coffee and tea, Intrepid Nitro specializes in small-batch brewing and nitro-infused beverages, including unique tea blends and nitro cocktails. With its rotating seasonal drinks and community-centered vibe, the shop has quickly become a local favorite.
Building on its success, Intrepid Nitro is preparing to open its second location in Hardin Valley later this fall. The new café, located across from Hardin Valley Elementary School and Hardin Valley Academy, aims to bring the same welcoming atmosphere and bold flavors that have made Intrepid a Knoxville staple.
