Suicide Prevention & Veteran Safe Place Training for Businesses
Local businesses are invited to take part in a free life-saving training opportunity designed to strengthen community support for veterans and individuals in crisis. The Fire Team Tennessee Suicide Prevention and Veteran Safe Place Business Certification Course will take place on November 8th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at VFW Post 5154 (2561 Hobbs Road in Louisville).
This important seminar is specifically geared toward business owners, managers, and staff, offering the knowledge and tools needed to help identify individuals in crisis and connect them with life-saving resources. By completing the course, participants will earn the Veteran Safe Place Business Certification, demonstrating their business’s commitment to supporting veterans and reducing the risk of suicide within the community.
This free course offers more than education—it offers the chance to make a difference. Together, local businesses can help create a community that listens, supports, and saves lives.



Sing Your Heart Out at Pins & Pints Halloween Karaoke Night

If you’re looking for a frightfully fun way to spend Halloween, grab your costume and your vocal cords — it’s time for Halloween Karaoke Night at Pins & Pints Pinball Pub (1336 E Emory Road)!

Learn How to Plant a Tree with the Knox County Master Gardeners
Fall is the perfect season for planting — and the Knox County Master Gardeners (KCMG) are here to show you how it’s done! Join them for a hands-on Garden Classroom event on November 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum (2743 Wimpole Avenue).
This free educational workshop will teach attendees the proper techniques for planting and caring for trees, from choosing the right location and preparing the soil to watering and maintenance for long-term success. Participants will even have the opportunity to take part in an actual tree planting during the session.
Alongside the practical learning, guests can enjoy refreshments and enter a raffle at the end of the event for a chance to win fun, garden-themed prizes.
The Knox County Master Gardeners, a volunteer organization in partnership with the University of Tennessee and Tennessee State University Cooperative Extension Services, are dedicated to promoting sustainable gardening and environmental stewardship throughout the community.

Warm Hearts, Warm Hands - Bello Business Solutions Launches Winter Clothing Drive Drop-Off

As the temperatures drop, Bello Business Solutions is inviting the Knoxville community to come together and make a difference through its Warm Hearts, Warm Hands winter clothing drop-off. The initiative is collecting donations of coats, blankets, and gloves for people of all ages and sizes—from children to adults.
Organizers are also encouraging donations of hot hands, new underwear, hats, and socks, all of which will go directly to help those in need this winter. Donations can be dropped off at: 108 Stekoia Lane, Suite 102.
