TinyTrees Drop-Off Night Returns to Support East Tennessee Children’s Hospital

One of Knoxville’s most heartwarming holiday traditions is back! TinyTrees—those cheerful, kid-themed mini Christmas trees lovingly decorated by community groups—will soon brighten the halls of East Tennessee Children’s Hospital (ETCH). November 17th from 6–8 PM is the one and only night to drop off your decorated TinyTree at ETCH (2018 Clinch Ave)!
These trees are delivered directly to young patients and senior groups across the Knoxville area, bringing joy, comfort, and holiday magic to those who need it most.
Anyone can create a TinyTree—families, businesses, church groups, scout troops, classrooms, or groups of friends. Just follow these guidelines to make sure your tree is safe, sturdy, and hospital-friendly:
All Trees Must Be:
3 feet tall (no other size accepted)
Any color or style
Movable and stable — trees must be one piece or securely glued
Plug-in lights only (NO battery-operated lights)
Decorated in a kid-friendly theme
Think superheroes, butterflies, cars, Barbie, Disney, Bluey
No scary/dead/goth themes
Non-breakable ornaments only
Securely wired ornaments so nothing falls off
Able to stand firmly on their own
Naughty List (Not Allowed):
Candy or food of any kind (including candy canes)
Gnomes (they can be scary to younger kids)
Money or gift cards
Scary themes
Tree skirts
Extension cords
Battery-operated lights
Political or religious themes
If it isn’t an ornament or decoration—leave it off!

From 10AM to noon, families are invited to drop in for storytelling, author Q&A, and hands-on activities inspired by the world of Red and her four-legged friend.
