Call for Artists for The Art of Healing Exhibition

The Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville, in partnership with The University of Tennessee Medical Center, has announced a new initiative titled “The Art of Healing” — a biannual juried exhibition designed to uplift patients, inspire healing, and celebrate the restorative power of art.

Set to debut March through August 2026, the inaugural exhibition will feature 15–20 works by regional artists along a central corridor of UT Medical Center — between the Heart Hospital entrance and the Boling Pavilion — an area frequented daily by patients, visitors, and staff. The goal is to create a visually uplifting experience that connects art with physical and emotional well-being.

Artists 18 years and older residing in 34 East Tennessee counties are invited to submit original, two-dimensional artwork, including painting, photography, graphic arts, and mixed media. Works may not exceed 24” x 24” framed and must be displayed under glass or plexiglass with a black metal frame.

The submission deadline is Sunday, January 18, 2026. While there is no entry fee, artists must hold individual membership with the Arts & Culture Alliance by the deadline. More Info & Entry Details
