Find Your Purr-fect Match at the Feral Feline Friends of East TN PetSmart Adoption Event

If you’ve been thinking about adding a feline friend to your family, mark your calendar for the Feral Feline Friends PetSmart Adoption Event on December 27th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event takes place at PetSmart (250 E. Emory Road, Powell) and offers a full day of opportunities to meet adoptable cats in need of loving homes.
Hosted by Feral Feline Friends of East Tennessee, this adoption event highlights the organization’s long-standing mission to help reduce cat overpopulation while improving the lives of felines throughout East Tennessee. Founded in 2004, Feral Feline Friends of East Tennessee focuses on Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR), public education, and community empowerment to care for outdoor and at-risk cats.
Adoption fees help directly support this mission and include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, and FIV/FeLV testing. Fees are $125 for kittens, $100 for cats over one year old, and $200 for bonded pairs, ensuring adopters are welcoming home healthy, well-cared-for companions.
Whether you’re ready to adopt or simply want to learn more about supporting local rescue efforts, this event is a meaningful way to make a difference—especially during the holiday season. Stop by, meet some wonderful cats, and you just might leave with a new best friend.

If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming way to celebrate Christmas Day, The Chatterbox Tavern (8227 Chapman Highway) is opening its doors for a festive Christmas “Potluck” Dinner on December 25th at 4:00 p.m..
This gathering is all about good food, good company, and classic holiday cheer. The Chatterbox Tavern will provide ham and turkey, and guests are invited to bring along a favorite side dish or dessert to share. Prefer to just show up hungry? That’s welcome too—there will be plenty to go around.
