Repticon Knoxville - Two Days of Reptiles, Exotics, and Hands-On Learning

Repticon Knoxville is slithering back into town for a full weekend of family-friendly fun and fascination at the Chilhowee Park & Exposition Center. Taking place Saturday and Sunday, January 10th–11th, this popular expo brings together reptile lovers, curious newcomers, and seasoned enthusiasts for an up-close look at some of the most incredible animals from around the world.
Known as one of the nation’s premier reptile and exotic animal expos, Repticon Knoxville features live reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, and other exotic creatures showcased by knowledgeable breeders and experts. Attendees can explore a wide variety of species, learn about proper care and conservation, and even purchase pets and specialty supplies directly from trusted professionals—often at prices you won’t find anywhere else.
Beyond the animals themselves, the event offers an educational experience for all ages. Experts are on hand throughout the weekend to answer questions, share insights about responsible ownership, and help visitors better understand these unique and often misunderstood creatures. Whether you’re a longtime reptile keeper or just discovering this world for the first time, there’s something to spark curiosity at every turn.

Laundry Love Brings Community Care to WaveMAX Knoxville

On January 6th from 5:00–7:30 PM, a simple act of kindness will make a meaningful difference at WaveMAX Knoxville (5210 Schubert Rd) as Laundry Love hosts its monthly community outreach event. Designed to support individuals and families facing financial hardship, Laundry Love offers practical help in a warm, welcoming environment—right where it’s needed most.
During the event, guests are invited to bring their laundry, and Laundry Love volunteers will cover the cost of washing and drying. By supplying the quarters and detergent, the organization removes a real barrier many households face, turning an everyday chore into an opportunity for relief, dignity, and connection. It’s a small gesture with a big impact, helping stretch tight budgets while offering encouragement and care.
Held on the first Tuesday of each month, Laundry Love at WaveMAX Knoxville has become a dependable source of support for the community. Volunteers are on hand not only to help with laundry expenses but also to share conversation, smiles, and a sense of belonging—reminding everyone that they are seen and valued.

A Purpose-Driven Hike Focused on Suicide Prevention and Support

You are invited to take part in a meaningful morning of connection, remembrance, and encouragement at the 7th Annual A Hike to Remember 22, happening January 10th from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The event begins at Nixon's Deli #4, located at 224 N Peters Road NW, and welcomes participants of all backgrounds to come together for a powerful cause.
This annual hike is a suicide prevention initiative built around a simple but vital message: You Are Valuable. Rooted in camaraderie and community support, the event creates an environment where veterans, first responders, families, and community members can walk side by side—encouraging one another and reminding those who may be struggling that they are not alone.
More than just a hike, A Hike to Remember 22 is designed to foster conversation, connection, and hope. Participants will have the opportunity to share a meal, engage in light physical activity, and take part in a supportive atmosphere that emphasizes mental health awareness and crisis navigation. The event’s structure allows people to move at their own pace, making it accessible and welcoming to all fitness levels.
With strong community turnout year after year, this seventh annual gathering continues to serve as a reminder of the power of showing up for one another. Whether you come to honor someone, support a loved one, or simply walk in solidarity, your presence helps reinforce the message that every life matters.

42nd Annual Cabin Fever Car & Motorcycle Show Rolls into Knoxville

One of East Tennessee’s most anticipated automotive traditions is back this January as the 42nd Annual Cabin Fever Car & Motorcycle Show takes over the Knoxville Expo Center.
