Step Into the New Year with an 8-Week Salsa Bootcamp

If learning to dance salsa has always been on your bucket list, this is your moment. Salsa Knoxville Dance Company is kicking off an 8-Week Salsa Bootcamp beginning January 5th at 7:00 p.m., and it’s designed for absolute beginners as well as anyone who’s ever said they have two left feet.

Held at 4028 Papermill Drive NW, Suite 16, this high-energy bootcamp runs every Monday through February 23rd, giving participants a fun, supportive way to build real dance skills over eight weeks. Led by experienced instructors and owners Jacqui Solano and Waldo Solano, the program focuses on powerful techniques, rhythm, partner connection, and—most importantly—confidence on the dance floor.

No partner? No rhythm? No experience? No problem. This bootcamp is intentionally structured to welcome everyone, whether you’re brand new to salsa or just looking to finally feel comfortable dancing at social events, salsa nights, or bachata parties. Participants will progress week by week, learning practical moves they can actually use while enjoying an upbeat, encouraging environment.

As a special Holiday Sale, the full eight-week program is offered at a deeply discounted rate, making it one of the most affordable ways to learn salsa from seasoned professionals. With limited spots available, early registration is strongly encouraged.

If you’re ready to try something new, meet great people, and start 2026 moving with confidence and style, this Salsa Bootcamp is the perfect way to dance into the new year. More Info

South Knoxville Art Walk Brings Art, Music, and Community to the Old Sevier District

South Knoxville’s vibrant creative scene takes center stage on January 9th, as the South Knoxville Art Walk returns from 5:00–10:00 p.m. Hosted by Printshop Beer Co. (1532 Island Home Ave) and neighboring South Knoxville merchants, this free, public event invites the community to explore art, music, and local flavor along the river.

Held on the second Friday of each month, the Art Walk showcases a wide range of visual art while highlighting the talents of local artists and makers. Visitors can stroll through the Old Sevier District, meeting artists, discovering new work, and enjoying live music along the way. Participating businesses add to the experience with craft beer, cocktails, food options, and special offerings throughout the evening.

More than an art showcase, the South Knoxville Art Walk is a celebration of place—bringing together artists, small businesses, and neighbors to spotlight the creativity and culture thriving on the south side of the river. Whether you’re an art lover, a casual explorer, or simply looking for a lively way to spend a Friday night, this monthly tradition offers something for everyone.
