Honor Fountain City Day in the Park on Memorial Day

A long-standing Memorial Day tradition in North Knoxville is returning this spring as Honor Fountain City Day in the Park brings a full day of community celebration, family activities, and patriotic remembrance to Fountain City Park (5345 North Broadway). Hosted by Fountain City Town Hall, the annual event will take place on May 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The celebration begins with family-friendly activities from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including live music, rides, games, food trucks, and craft vendors spread throughout the park. Musical performances throughout the day will include a bagpipe duet at 10 a.m., Kyle Campbell & Friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Tennessee Wind Symphony Jazz Band at 2 p.m.
At 3:00 p.m., the event shifts to the Community Awards Ceremony at the park gazebo. Local leaders and residents will gather to recognize individuals and organizations who have made a positive impact in the Fountain City area. Awards include Commercial Restoration, Residential Restoration, Residential Landscaping, Person of the Year, and Friend of Fountain City.
The day concludes with a Memorial Day Ceremony at 4:00 p.m., honoring the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to the country. The program will feature remarks, patriotic music, a color guard ceremony led by Central High School ROTC, a moment of silence, and the playing of “Taps” by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. East Tennessee Homestead Alliance Festival

A weekend dedicated to self-sufficiency, traditional skills, and community connection is coming to Knoxville. The two-day East Tennessee Homestead Alliance Festival will take place April 24th–25th, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day at the Hardin Valley Event Center (2620 Willow Point Way).
The event brings together farmers, homesteaders, gardeners, and families interested in learning practical skills for a more sustainable lifestyle. The festival features educational speakers, live demonstrations, hands-on workshops, vendors, food trucks, and activities for kids, creating an immersive learning experience for beginners and experienced homesteaders alike.
Attendees can explore a wide range of topics focused on traditional and modern homesteading practices. Workshops and demonstrations often include subjects such as food preservation, herbal medicine, soil health, livestock care, and heritage skills, along with practical classes designed to help participants gain confidence in producing and preparing their own food.
The festival also provides a marketplace atmosphere with vendors offering homestead supplies, handcrafted goods, tools, and locally produced foods. Families are welcome, and the event includes a kid-friendly area where younger attendees can learn about agriculture and sustainability in fun, interactive ways.

Knoxville Home & Remodeling Show

Tennessee Turning Point Gala
