If you have kids, clear May 30th! Knoxville's Largest Kids' Party returns to the World's Fair Park Performance Lawn on May 30th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM — and it lives up to the name.

Past events have drawn over 3,500 families, and this year's lineup is packed: bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, face painting, bubbles, a petting zoo, and appearances from princesses and superheroes. The fan-favorite Party Pals Parade — featuring local mascots — steps off at 1:00 PM.

Entertainment includes the Party Boys DJ Show, and a portion of the proceeds benefits Childhelp Tennessee. It's a full day of free-range fun for kids of all ages, and one of those events that families look forward to every year. More Info

Comedian Heather McMahan is bringing The Bamboozled Tour to the Bijou Theatre (803 S. Gay Street) for two nights, May 29th and 30th at 8:00 PM - and both shows are being filmed as her live comedy special. If you've ever watched one of those Netflix specials and thought "I wish I'd been in that audience," this is your moment.

McMahan has built a massive following for her sharp, relatable humor - think the kind of comedy that makes you laugh so hard you forget you're in public. Tickets start at $67 for May 29th and $61 for May 30th. Both nights are at the historic Bijou Theatre, 803 S. Gay Street.

What if the next great guitar was designed by a middle-schooler from East Tennessee?

The Epiphone Student Guitar Design Exhibition opens at the Dogwood Arts Gallery (123 W. Jackson Avenue) on May 1st with a First Friday reception from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The show runs through May 29th, and features guitars designed by middle and high school students from across the region — actual, physical guitars brought to life from student artwork. Select guitars will also travel to Dollywood's HeartSong Lodge & Resort for a June exhibition.

At the end of the run, the guitars go to auction — with proceeds benefiting Dogwood Arts youth programs. It's a remarkable celebration of what young artists can do when given the right tools and support.

Free to attend, family-friendly, and a genuinely inspiring evening. First Friday is always a great night to be downtown, and this is one of the standout stops on the map. More Info
