Veterans Breakfasts Grow to 18 Locations

If you know a veteran, make sure they know about this!

The United Veterans Council of East Tennessee has expanded its free veterans breakfast program to 18 locations - up from 17- with the addition of Knoxville Moose Lodge 1560 (6909 Ward Road) now joining the Second Saturday lineup. Every single Saturday of the month, somewhere in our area, a free hot breakfast is waiting for veterans and their guests. Coffee line starts at 8:00 AM, chow line at 8:30 AM — no cost, no catch, just community showing up for the people who served.

Locations span Knoxville, Powell, Sevierville, Dandridge, Seymour, Erwin, Kodak, Benton, Maynardville, Oliver Springs, Louisville, Wears Valley, Newport, and more - making it easier than ever for veterans to find a breakfast near them any given Saturday of the month. More Info

For the Love of Pat - One-Woman Play Returns

If you saw PAT last fall, you already know. If you missed it, this is your second chance - and this time, the stage is even more special.

PAT, the acclaimed one-woman play written and performed by Lisa Soland, returns for a limited engagement June 18th–28th, now making its debut at the Jenny Boyd Theatre on the campus of the University of Tennessee - UT's newly opened performance space.

Following its world premiere at the Old City Performing Arts Center last October, where it earned raves including "ONE-WOMAN POWERHOUSE" from the Knox News Sentinel and drew Women's Athletic Director Emeritus Joan Cronan to four separate performances, PAT comes home again with even more riding on it.

The play traces Pat Summitt's life from her farm upbringing in Henrietta, TN, to her legendary tenure as head coach of the Lady Vols - and frames it all through the lens of her Alzheimer's diagnosis, with the same unflinching courage and dignity she brought to everything she did. Two performances during the run will welcome all eight 2026 Women's Basketball Hall of Fame inductees and their guests, traveling to Knoxville for the occasion. Members of the current Lady Vols team have already reserved their seats.

A portion of every ticket benefits the Pat Summitt Foundation in its fight against Alzheimer's disease. This one matters. More Info & Tickets
