Acoustic Kamp - Strings, Picks & Pure Music Magic

Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Kamp celebrates its 30th Annual Bluegrass Week June 21st–27th at Maryville College — and it's widely considered one of the finest acoustic music camps in the country.

Steve Kaufman has assembled what he calls the strongest team of instructors the world has to offer, covering flatpicking guitar, bass, old-time and bluegrass fiddle, Dobro™, old-time and bluegrass banjo, songwriting and vocals, hammered and mountain dulcimer, and mandolin — a full week of deep-dive instruction, jamming, and shared musical community in the gorgeous setting of a historic college campus.

Students of all skill levels are welcome, from beginners finding their footing to seasoned players looking to push their craft further. The camp's reputation is built on something rare: a genuinely friendly, supportive, and uplifting environment where music is the only agenda.

Whether you're a lifelong picker or someone who just fell in love with the banjo, this is your week. Thirty years in, Kaufman's Kamp only keeps getting better. More Info

AAU Girls World Championships Comes to Knoxville

The 2026 AAU Girls Basketball World Championships comes to Knoxville from June 24th–28th, with games taking place at the Knoxville Convention Center (701 Henley Street) and the adjacent World's Fair Exhibition Hall — two stunning venues nestled right in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of more than 75 restaurants and dozens of hotels.

This is not a one-time event: Visit Knoxville and the Amateur Athletic Union have signed a 5-year agreement to bring the Championships back to Knoxville year after year, cementing our city's reputation as a premier sports destination in the Southeast.

The tournament kicks off with opening ceremonies on June 24th, followed by competitive play through June 28th. If you love watching elite athletes compete at the top of their game — and you want to show some local pride while supporting young women in sports — this is your weekend to be downtown.

The energy around Convention Center and World's Fair Park is going to be electric, and local businesses and restaurants along the route will be buzzing all week. Come be part of it. More Info

Graham Nash Brings His Live on Tour 2026 to the Bijou

One of the most celebrated voices in rock history is coming to Knoxville. Graham Nash brings his Live on Tour 2026 to the Bijou on July 29th at 7:30 PM — and with a career spanning more than six decades, this is as close to a living history of contemporary music as you can get in one evening.

Nash's journey reads like a greatest-hits list of the genre: from his early days with The Hollies (think Bus Stop and Carrie Anne) through his world-changing years with Crosby, Stills & Nash and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, delivering anthems like Helplessly Hoping, Teach Your Children, Our House, and Suite: Judy Blue Eyes — and through a rich solo catalog that has only deepened with time.

For this tour, Nash is joined by Todd Caldwell (keyboards), Adam Minkoff (bass, drums, guitar, and vocals), and Zack Djanikian (guitar, bass, drums, and vocals) for what promises to be a career-spanning retrospective that will resonate with anyone who came of age with this music — and captivate younger audiences discovering it for the first time.
