The Pokémon/TCG Show by Poké-Mart Events is back — bigger and better than ever — on June 13th from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM at 8807 Kingston Pike. Admission is just $5 at the door, and kids 12 and under get in FREE.

For less than the price of a pack of cards, you'll have access to up to 100 Pokémon/TCG tables, a bigger venue with more room to move, more vendors, more inventory, and more deals — all in a space designed for the best possible experience.

The organizers behind Denny's PokéMart, Poké-Mart Events, and Poké'Stars listened to their community after the last two shows and made major upgrades across the board, and the result is what they're calling the biggest local Pokémon/TCG event in the area.

Whether you're a serious collector hunting for that one card, a casual fan looking to browse, or a parent bringing an excited kid for their first show, this is the place to be this Saturday. Vendor sign-ups are also open for those who want a table of their own. More Info

Ham radio operators, electronics hobbyists, and curious minds — one of the biggest gatherings of its kind in the state is coming to Knoxville.

The 2026 Knoxville Hamfest & ARRL Tennessee State Convention returns on June 13th, starting at 8:00 AM at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church (701 Merchant Drive) — and this year carries an extra distinction: it's the official ARRL Tennessee State Convention for 2026, making it a major milestone in the local ham radio community.

Presented by the Radio Amateur Club of Knoxville (RACK), this full-day event brings together fellow hams from across Tennessee and beyond for a packed lineup: indoor vendors and exhibits, a huge outdoor tailgating area, great forums, prize drawings, and local food on-site.

If you're looking to get licensed or upgrade your ticket, a VE testing session runs at 1:00 PM (paper test; $15 fee, $5 for those under 18), with sign-up beginning at 12:30 PM. The 2025 Hamfest drew an estimated 705 attendees — the highest turnout in 15 years — and 2026 is poised to build on that momentum.

Use the Scenicwood Drive entrance on the west side of the church for easiest access. Whether you're a seasoned operator or just radio-curious, this is a welcoming, community-driven event that's well worth the trip. More Info

The WordPlayers bring their production of Hairspray: The Musical to the Bijou Theatre (803 S. Gay Street) for a three-day run July 10th-12th.

Winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, Hairspray is the story of Tracy Turnblad — a big-hearted Baltimore teen with even bigger hair and an unstoppable dream of dancing on TV — and the joyful, rollicking journey she takes fighting for inclusion and shaking up the status quo. More Info

Knoxville AnimeDay 2026 (Summer Edition) — the 17th installment — runs on June 20th from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM at the Holiday Inn Knoxville West – Cedar Bluff (9134 Executive Park Drive), and it's everything you love about anime conventions without the price tag.

Admission is just $5 at the door, and parking is completely free. Inside, you'll find a 2,000+ sq ft dealer's room packed with anime and manga merchandise, plus an event room loaded with activities all day long: Mario Kart party, fan panels throughout the afternoon, a cosplay contest with winners announced at 4:00 PM, a video game tournament starting at 4:30 PM, and prize giveaways sprinkled throughout.
