Knoxville's First Flower Shop/Bar Opens in Happy Holler

Stem To Stem — billed as Knoxville's first flower shop by day, cocktail bar by night — opens its doors at 1200 N Central Street in the Happy Holler neighborhood on July 17th at 6 PM, and the whole city is invited.
The concept is exactly what it sounds like, and somehow more interesting than it sounds: a working flower shop that transforms into a cocktail bar in the evenings. Flowers and cocktails don't seem like an obvious pairing until you're standing in a beautifully arranged room that smells like fresh botanicals and someone hands you a drink — and then it makes perfect sense.
The grand opening event is open to everyone. Per the organizers: "Come see what we've been working on. There will be flowers, cocktails, good people, and probably a few happy tears (mostly from us). Whether you've been cheering us on from the beginning or you're just curious what a flower shop/bar looks like, we'd love to have you. We'll save you a drink." More Info
Harper's Auto Square’s Cars & Coffee at West Town Mall

If you love cars — any cars — this is the one to put on the calendar. Harper Auto Square's Cars & Coffee takes over the West Town Mall parking lot (7600 Kingston Pike) on August 2nd from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM for what's billed as Tennessee's largest Cars and Coffee event. .
All makes and models are welcome — this isn't a brand-specific show. Show up in whatever you drive, mix with hundreds of car enthusiasts who share the same love for the hobby, and spend a Sunday morning doing what car people do best: walking around, talking about what's under the hood, and appreciating each other's machines. Dash plaques are handed out at the entrance while supplies last, so arriving early pays off.
Harper's custom Airstream car hauler will be on site along with inventory from their Porsche, Audi, Jaguar, Infiniti, Acura, Volkswagen, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, FIAT, Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, and Dodge stores — and you can pick up their new line of Cars & Coffee apparel while you're there. KPD will be on site. A few house rules to know: no motorcycles, no revving, no music, no burnouts. It is a family-oriented event.

Rockin' the Docks - Music, Food Trucks & Fireworks on Fort Loudoun Lake

This one draws thousands every summer for good reason — it's hard to beat a full day on the lake with live music and fireworks at the end.
Rockin' the Docks 2026, presented by Lenoir City Parks and Rec, returns to 6707 City Park Dr in Lenoir City on July 4th from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM along the shores of Fort Loudoun Lake.
The day rolls out in stages: food vendors open at 1:00 PM with a wide spread of favorites and refreshing drinks (no need to bring anything outside), live music kicks off at 5:00 PM, and fireworks light up the lake starting around 9:45 PM. Bring your lawn chairs, bring your crew, and plan to stay for the whole thing — the fireworks finale over the water is the kind of payoff that's worth the full day.
A couple of things to know before you go: no pets and no outside alcohol are allowed on the grounds. More Info
This Isn't a Tribute Concert - It's January 13, 1968, and You're Inside Folsom Prison

Folsom Prison Experience comes to the Bijou Theatre (801 S Gay St) on August 6th at 7:00 PM, and it's unlike anything else being staged in Knoxville this year. This is a fully immersive, drama-charged theatrical production that transports you back to the exact day Johnny Cash walked into Folsom State Prison and recorded what became one of the most legendary live albums in American history.
From the moment you walk in, you're inside the story. Inmate intake. Roll call. The tension of the guards. The presence of the Warden. The explosive, barely-contained energy of a captive audience that had nothing to lose. Jay Ernest stars as Johnny Cash, with a full cast bringing June Carter, Carl Perkins, the Statler Brothers, and the Tennessee Three to life — alongside Kat Perkins, Brad Erickson, Dan Hopman, Ryan Nelson, Zach "Poppa Bear" Norton, and Bronson Bergeson.
This isn't a show where a guy in black plays Cash's hits while the crowd politely applauds. It's a recreation of one of the most electric moments in concert history, staged so you feel like you were there when Cash looked out at those prisoners and said, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash." More Info
