Last year Knoxville hosted the 2nd largest National Drive Electric Month event in the nation, let's do it bigger this year!

Over 100+ EVs on show by owners. Explore 40+ electric models — from trucks, to sleek cars, to electric motorcycles, scooters, and e-bikes. Check out the latest models of EVs including this year's featured EV, the brand new Rivian R2 will be available for test drive and in our EV showcase as Rivian will be on hand the year showing off all their models. So you can not only drive it but also crawl through it and check it out! Cadillac, Chevy, Ford, and Tesla will also be in our Ride and Drive area.

But it's not just about the cars — this is a festival! Enjoy live music from three amazing bands that rocked the festival last year. The School of Rock will start us off followed by Tangled In Blues, and Crawdaddy Jones Trio. Some of the best blues bands in the area. The live music stage is powered by the Ford F-150 Lightning to show how versatile EVs can be, you can even use them to power your house for several days.

Enjoy delicious food from local food trucks while you listen. Bring the whole family for a day of fun, with a kids' area with games and fun activities.

Already an EV owner? Show off your ride in the EV showcase and help us break last year's record. No matter how many of your model are signed up, we want you! Bring your EV, your e-bikes, your One Wheels, or any electric ride — everyone's welcome that plugs-in. We want to show how many EV owners there are in Knoxville!

A Knoxville voice is now at the table for statewide conversations about the future of music.

Casey Fox, Director of Impact & Development at the Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville, has been appointed by Governor Bill Lee to the newly established Tennessee Music Advisory Council (TMAC) — a 15-member inaugural council convened by the Tennessee Entertainment Commission to advise on issues facing the state's music industry. Fox is joined on the council by fellow Knoxvillian Austin McCarley of Visit Knoxville.

The council's work will span music-related economic development, professional development, networking, and resource access for musicians and creative businesses across Tennessee.

The appointment builds on recent research that puts real numbers to what Knoxville already knows: East Tennessee's music sector supports an estimated 14,035 jobs and generates $2.95 billion in economic output — findings from the East Tennessee Music Study, commissioned by the Tennessee Entertainment Commission and conducted by Sound Diplomacy. The Vault Room (2901 Tazewell Pike) is hosting Bourbon Class #255: The Whiskey Row Region on September 24th at 6:30 PM.

This class takes a deep dive into Louisville's historic Whiskey Row — from its origins as a pre-Prohibition powerhouse to its long decline and dramatic rebirth beginning in 2013 with the opening of the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. You'll trace the rise of a new generation of urban distilleries that have re-established the Whiskey Row corridor as the third major bourbon-making region in Kentucky.

The class runs 1.5 hours and includes six half-ounce whiskey samples to smell and taste throughout the presentation, plus an appetizer. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or just getting started, it's a solid evening of history and flavor. More Info & Tickets

Lakemoor Hills Garden Club is turning 70, and they're inviting the Knoxville community to celebrate with them.

The club, founded in 1956, will host a 70th Anniversary Celebration on September 25th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Lakemoor Legacy Park and Gardens, located on Circle Lake Lane off Maloney Road in South Knoxville. Refreshments will be provided, and information on the club's history will be on hand.

Among their most remarkable accomplishments: the creation of the Lakemoor Legacy Gardens and Park itself — a site that was once a sinkhole and is now a designated garden on the Knoxville Dogwood Arts Trail and a Certified Wildlife Habitat.

The club has also worked with the city, county, and TDOT on landscaping the three new Alcoa Highway roundabouts between Woodson Drive and Maloney Road, collaborated with the Chapman Highway Garden Club on a new landscape installation at the South Knoxville Senior Center, and contributed to projects at UT Gardens, Knoxville Botanical Garden, Racheff Gardens, Fantasy of Trees, and Mt.
