Looking for a fun way to spend a fall Saturday while supporting local businesses and giving back to the community? The Chic Flips Community Market is coming to South Knoxville on Saturday, October 3, bringing together local vendors, food, family activities, animal rescues, and a big community giving challenge.

Held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, the free event will feature a variety of local makers and small businesses offering vintage finds, handmade goods, jewelry, clothing, crochet, candles, plants, and more. Food trucks will be on hand for lunch and sweet treats, while families can enjoy free face painting, inflatables, character appearances, giveaways, and other surprises.

Animal lovers can also visit Rescue Row, where local animal rescues and nonprofits will be represented.

One of the highlights of the market is the 1,000-Item Community Challenge, benefiting FISH Hospitality Pantry.

Attendees are encouraged to bring:

Whether you bring one item or an entire bag, every donation helps the community get closer to the 1,000-item goal.

More vendors, rescue organizations, giveaways, and surprises are expected to be announced as the event approaches.

Family Garden Day takes place Sunday, October 18, from 1–5 p.m. This free community event invites families to get outside and explore the Garden with hands-on activities, lawn games, and plenty of opportunities to discover the beauty of the season.

Enjoy live music from East Knoxville musicians while the kids play, explore, and connect with nature. Families can also shop the Garden’s Fall Plant Sale, featuring a wide selection of trees, shrubs, and perennials that are perfect for fall planting—including rare and unique varieties.

Whether you spend the afternoon playing games, wandering the gardens, listening to music, or finding something new to take home for your own garden, Family Garden Day is a wonderful way to enjoy a fall day together. More Info

A little autumn magic is coming to Ancient Lore Village with Trick-or-Treat Trails, a whimsical Halloween experience created especially for younger adventurers!

Little ghouls and goblins can wander a charming, not-too-spooky trail through the Village, stopping at 10 candy stations hosted by costumed characters. Along the way, families will find plenty of sweet treats, playful characters, photo opportunities, and just the right amount of Halloween magic.

The fun continues beyond the trail with games, character encounters, seasonal treats, and a festive fall atmosphere the whole family can enjoy. The trail itself takes about 20 minutes, but families are encouraged to stick around for closer to an hour to explore and enjoy everything the Village has to offer.

The experience is designed to be short, sweet, safe, and perfect for little legs, making it a great way for young children to enjoy Halloween without the scares.

Ready for something a little different? The Oddities & Art Market is making its Knoxville debut on Saturday, October 10, bringing a wonderfully weird day of art, curiosities, and unique finds to the World's Fair Exhibition Hall.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., explore a fully indoor, all-ages marketplace featuring 100+ artists and vendors offering everything from oddities, crystals and fossils to handcrafted art, jewelry, taxidermy, unique gifts, and plenty of unexpected treasures.

Want to explore the mystical side? Psychics and tarot readers will also be on hand, adding even more intrigue to this one-of-a-kind experience.

Admission is $10 in advance or $15 on the day of the show, while kids 10 and under get in free. Parking is free, and the event is happening rain or shine—although you’ll stay nice and dry inside!

Even better, 100% of proceeds go directly to Access Art, helping provide underprivileged youth with access to arts programs and scholarships.
