Knoxville Theatre Club Opens Hedda Gabler This Weekend

Henrik Ibsen wrote Hedda Gabler in 1891. It still hits like a freight train.

The Knoxville Theatre Club opens its production this weekend at Borderland Playhouse (802 Sevier Avenue), with performances Thursday through Saturday at 7:00 PM.

The play follows Hedda — brilliant, bored, and trapped in a marriage and a life she never wanted — as she manipulates everyone around her with devastating precision. It's a character study with the tension of a thriller, and one of those productions where you leave the theatre thinking about it for days.

This weekend only — three performances, Thursday through Saturday. More Info

CHROMA: Image & Sound Experimental Film Festival

CHROMA is back — and it's one of the more genuinely unusual things happening in Knoxville this fall.

The Image & Sound Experimental Film Festival runs October 2nd-3rd at St. James Episcopal Church (1101 N Broadway), showcasing experimental film and sound work from artists pushing the format somewhere most commercial cinema doesn't go. It's the kind of event that reminds you what film can do when it's not beholden to a plot.

St. James is a beautiful venue for it — the acoustics and the space lend themselves to exactly this kind of immersive experience.

Meet John Pyron, CEO and Co-Founder of Kingdom Impact Consulting Group

Kingdom Impact Consulting Group is a Knoxville-based business consulting firm built on a simple belief: success isn't measured in numbers alone, but in the positive impact a business creates for its clients, employees, and community. The firm pairs proven business strategy — operations, marketing, hiring — with values that honor faith, family, and legacy, walking alongside entrepreneurs every step of the way rather than handing them a plan and leaving.

At the helm is John Pyron, whose team has conducted thousands of strategy sessions and coached more than 6,000 businesses over 150+ combined years of experience. Every engagement starts with the same signature question: "If you had a magic wand, what would your business ultimately look like?"

The results are real. One landscape company owner came to Kingdom Impact working 75-hour weeks — within 90 days he was down to 35, revenue was up 29.1%, and he ran the business from Mexico for a month. He got his freedom back — to be a father again, a husband again.
