Silver Miners Have Outrun Silver Since 2020

Since March 2020, silver has returned about 402%. The silver miners returned 445%.
That gap is the leverage our research team focuses on. When silver rises, a producer's net asset value can rise much faster, and share prices tend to follow. It works in both directions, and a mine is only as good as the company running it.
The Ultimate Silver Playbook shows how the team separates the miners worth owning from the rest, and which silver stocks are on its watchlist now. It's free.

Make Your Own Monster

Here's a Halloween activity your kids will actually keep. The Restoration House is hosting Monsters Made with Love, a hands-on kids' sewing workshop, on October 22nd, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Kern's in South Knoxville.
Kids choose their project: a stuffed monster (about two hours) or a stuffed heart (about one hour). Along the way, they'll learn real skills like threading a needle, tying knots, hand sewing, and sewing on a button. No sewing experience needed. Everything comes in the kit.
Ages 5–7 work alongside a parent or caregiver, while ages 8 and up can sew on their own. Parents who want in on the fun can buy their own ticket and make one too.
Costumes are encouraged, and two lucky kids will win costume prize packs that each include two Dollywood passes.
Best of all, it all goes to a great cause. The Restoration House is a local nonprofit that supports single mothers and their families as they work toward stable, thriving futures.
Tickets are $50 per participant, and space is limited. Non-participating little ones are welcome in a stroller. Full refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. More Info & Tickets

Honor Those Who Served - Knoxville's Veterans Day Parade Marches Downtown

Each November, downtown Knoxville lines the streets to say thank you. The city's Veterans Day Parade, a downtown tradition for nearly a century, steps off on November 11th.
The parade typically begins around 10:45 AM near the Knoxville Civic Coliseum, travels along Church Street to Gay Street, and winds through the heart of downtown toward Depot Avenue. Expect veterans, military and community groups, and plenty of flags waving along the way.
It's a powerful thing to see, and an easy way to show the veterans in our community that Knoxville remembers. Bring the kids, bring a flag, and find a spot along Gay Street early. More Info
Plant Your Own Through Dogwood Arts' Bazillion Blooms - 20,000 Dogwoods and Counting

Every April, Knoxville turns pink and white, and a lot of those blooms got their start right here. Dogwood Arts has just celebrated a big milestone: since its Bazillion Blooms program began in 2009, more than 20,000 dogwood trees have been planted across East Tennessee, in neighborhoods, parks, and along the city's famous Dogwood Trails.
Now it's your turn to plant the next one.
Here's how it works: Dogwood Arts sells disease-resistant, April-blooming bare-root dogwoods (2–4 feet tall) in your choice of white or pink, for $25 each, or $20 each when you buy five or more. Fall is planting season, so the timing is perfect.
Order by November 3rd, then pick up your trees at the Dogwood Arts warehouse (2200 Nadine Street) on November 19th from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, November 20th from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, and November 21st from 9:00 AM–noon
Looking for a meaningful holiday gift? Dogwood Arts also offers gift and memorial trees, planted along Knoxville's historic Dogwood Trails and paired with a handwritten commemorative card. It's a living tribute that blooms year after year.
The program is presented by KUB, which reminds everyone to Plant Smart: call 811 before you dig, plant the right tree in the right place (away from utility lines), and choose native plants. Bazillion Blooms is also a nominee for a 2026 Orchid Award from Keep Knoxville Beautiful. More Info
