Expanding Hope - Cedar Recovery to Open New Opioid Treatment Center in South Knoxville
Cedar Recovery is excited to announce the green light for establishing a new Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in South Knoxville. This development comes as part of our ongoing efforts to broaden the availability of opioid addiction treatments in Knox County and surrounding areas.
As a Tennessee-based entity dedicated to addressing opioid addiction, Cedar Recovery integrates medication-assisted treatment, behavioral therapy, and personalized treatment plans to support recovery. The forthcoming treatment center, set to open its doors in the Chapman Square Shopping Center located just over the Henley Street Bridge in South Knoxville, underscores our commitment to enhancing healthcare access and combating opioid addiction within our community.
Realtor Personal Protection Workshop on Saturday, April 27th
On Saturday, April 27th from 9am - noon, Warrior Heart USA, 297 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Suite 400, in Oak Ridge will host a workshop for realtors and those who work with clients in a private setting. Pasta with a Purpose Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser to Feed our Homeless on Saturday, April 20th
On Saturday, April 20th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm, be a guest for Pasta with a Purpose - a benefit dinner and silent auction for A Place at the Table Knoxville, an organization that helps feed our homeless. It will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 544 North Broadway. Tickets & More Info
New Riverfront Student Housing Developments Underway Near UT
Construction for two six-story student housing developments, totaling 235,000 square feet, began this week. They are situated along the Tennessee Riverfront, directly opposite the University of Tennessee, in the South Waterfront neighborhood.
Slated for completion in the summer of 2026, these housing units will offer a total of 605 beds, with a variety of floor plans available, ranging from studio apartments to spacious five-bedroom units.
