Celebrate July 4th with Exciting Local Events!

Looking for some fun to celebrate July 4th? Our area has plenty to offer for everyone! From family-friendly festivals to unique traditions, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Festival on the 4th

Kick off your Independence Day festivities with the Festival on the 4th at the Worlds Fair Park, a free, family-friendly event packed with activities for all ages. Starting at 5 p.m. and running until approximately 10 p.m., this festival includes:

  • Water wars

  • Axe-throwing

  • Mini-golf games

  • Paddle boats

Food vendors will be conveniently located on both lawns, ensuring you have plenty of delicious options to choose from. The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks display, making it a perfect way to celebrate the holiday. Plus, this event is RAIN OR SHINE, so come prepared for a night of fun, no matter the weather!

Gatlinburg's Midnight Parade

Prepare to stay up late for a one-of-a-kind experience! For the 49th consecutive year, Gatlinburg will host its iconic parade at midnight on July 4th (the night of July 3rd). Billed as the first Independence Day celebration in the nation, this parade is a must-see event that kicks off the holiday in style.

Museum of Appalachia's Old-Fashioned Anvil Shoot

If you're looking for something truly unique, head to the Museum of Appalachia for an old-fashioned anvil shoot. Instead of fireworks, the museum uses gunpowder to launch 200-pound anvils hundreds of feet into the air. It's a fascinating and historic way to celebrate the 4th of July.

Westward Celebrations on Kingston Pike

For those looking to celebrate out west, check out the parade on Kingston Pike at Stadium Drive. Starting at 9:30 a.m., this year's parade features grand marshals Marianne McGill, Joyce Moran, and Dot LaMarche. It's a wonderful way to start your day with a festive spirit.

No matter how you choose to celebrate, there's no shortage of fun and excitement this July 4th. Gather your family and friends, and join in the festivities to make this Independence Day one to remember!
