Faith, Hope & Love - Music from Puccini, Verde & More

Marble City Opera will present a concert titled Faith, Hope, and Love on Sunday, September 8th at 5:30 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 711 S. Northshore Drive in Knoxville.

The performance is part of the Cathedral Concert Series. Free tickets are available via Eventbrite. Donations are welcome and will be accepted at the concert.

New & Exciting Temporary Exhibits at Knoxville Museum of Art

Knoxville Museum of Art (KMA) is thrilled to launch an exciting new schedule of exhibitions, beginning with Jo Sandman/TRACES, opening to the public beginning Friday, August 23rd from 6pm-9pm at 1050 World Fair Park Drive. The public is warmly invited to the opening reception.

A special Members-Only hour will take place from 6pm-7pm, with a talk by Alice Sebrell, curator of TRACES, at 6:15pm. Attendees can expect to enjoy summer refreshments, a signature cocktail, and a special musical performance by Rubens Ghenov. The event is free and open to the public, More Info

Power of the Purse to Benefit Knoxville Seniors

Power of the Purse is a large purse and jewelry sale event that raises thousands of dollars each year to provide nutritious meals, companionship, and safety checks to 1,100 homebound seniors across Knox County. This event is being held on Thursday, September 12th from 4:45pm-7:30pm at Rothchild’s Catering, 8807 Kingston Pike, It is the main fundraiser for Knox County Mobile Meals. Great deals on purses and jewelry! It is a great “Ladies Night Out” with a light dinner and fashion show by Chicos.

This event has huge deals on hundreds of beautiful bags at a wide range of prices. The event also features a delicious dinner, amazing auction packages, and a Jewelry Corner with items for sale to accessorize any occasion. All proceeds will benefit Knox County Mobile Meals. Boundaries. Choices. Happenstance. is an original play by Lisa Soland, produced by Theater 23. The story unfolds in the office of a psychologist, Dr. Biscotti, as he reflects on a recent tragic event. The play explores the lives of his clients, whose choices lead them down intertwining paths toward unexpected outcomes. As the psychologist navigates this web of psychological challenges, he is forced to confront his own humanity.
