Prohibition "Tea" at The Tennessean

Bourbon & Bowties: Black and White Gala

Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Bourbon & Bowties event, the annual fundraiser for the Rocky Top Veterans Foundation, on Friday, September 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the stunning Skyview at Broadway Social in Maryville, TN.

This year's theme is a "Black and White Gala," so come dressed in your best semi-formal attire and get ready for a night of fun, food, and entertainment. Dance the night away to the beats of our favorite DJ, enjoy silent and live auctions, and indulge in delicious food while mingling with great company.

For those seeking an extra-special experience, the VIP hour from 5 to 6 p.m. includes an open bar, an amazing charcuterie board, a free gift, and a meet and greet with Legends of Tennessee Football Players (to be announced).

Don't forget to participate in the annual BowTie competition for a chance to win a special prize! All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting veterans in East Tennessee, making this a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community.

Oak Ridge Fall Classic 5k

Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Oak Ridge Fall Classic 5k on Saturday, September 14, 2024! The event will take place along the scenic Melton Hill Lake Greenway, part of Oak Ridge’s Recreation and Parks system. The race starts at 8:30 a.m., and all proceeds will benefit Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services, supporting critical mental health programming. The event also coincides with National Suicide Prevention Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and fighting against suicide. Throughout the month, communities are encouraged to have open conversations, support local organizations like Ridgeview, and listen to those who need help.

New for the 2024 event is a special opportunity to participate in honor of those we've lost to suicide. Details will be shared soon, but the addition of this tribute will offer a meaningful way to acknowledge loss while spreading hope.
