Pop-Up Opera Party

The 2025 Pop-Up Opera Party, Marble City Opera’s annual fundraising gala takes place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in the Dogwood Center at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens. Tickets for the gala are on sale now at MarbleCityOpera.com. 

 As the name suggests, the event features several operatic performances popping up during the course of the evening. Each year, different arias are performed by singers who have been mingling among the guests. 

 The Pop-Up Opera Party will be catered by Holly’s Gourmet’s Market and Cafe. There will be a signature cocktail and other beverages. A live auction will offer one-of-a-kind experiences and specialty items. 

 Tickets and tables are available for purchase as well as sponsorships at various levels. Sponsorships include attendance at a pre-event reception with an additional operatic performance, recognition in the event program, on Marble City Opera’s website, and social media. More Info

Experience the Fusion of Art and Music: Knoxville Museum of Art’s Soundscapes Concert Series

The Knoxville Museum of Art (KMA) is thrilled to unveil the 2024-2025 Soundscapes concert series, an exquisite blend of live music and visual art. This monthly series offers a unique opportunity to enjoy intimate performances by renowned musicians and rising stars, all within the stunning architectural and artistic setting of the KMA.

Set against the backdrop of celebrated exhibitions, including the monumental Cycle of Life: Within the Power of Dreams and the Wonder of Infinity, the Soundscapes series is designed to captivate both music lovers and art enthusiasts alike.

Each performance runs from 7:30 PM to 9:15 PM, promising unforgettable evenings of world-class talent:

  • December 13, 2024: Christmas at the KMA
    Celebrate the holidays with vocalist Emily Wyrick, jazz pianist Taber Gable, and saxophonist Taj Davis.

  • January 10, 2025: Jazmin Ghent
    Enjoy the award-winning saxophonist’s signature soulful sound.

  • February 14, 2025: Love Songs: Kennedy and Jay
    A Valentine’s Day treat featuring the soulful harmonies of Kennedy and Jay, a husband-and-wife duo.

  • March 7, 2025: Women in Jazz
    Honor Women’s History Month with an all-female jazz ensemble led by bassist Teja Veal.

  • April 18, 2025: David P. Stevens
    Experience the captivating artistry of Los Angeles guitarist David P. Stevens.

  • May 23, 2025: Motown vs. Stax
    Celebrate the iconic sounds of two legendary labels with Knoxville’s finest musicians.

  • June 20, 2025: Dean James Returns
    Houston saxophonist Dean James returns for an encore performance sure to delight fans.

  • July 11, 2025: Lindsey Webster
    Revel in the sultry vocals of smooth jazz star Lindsey Webster.

  • August 8, 2025: Final performance details to be announced soon.

This series transforms the KMA into an acoustically rich performance space, creating an experience where music and art harmoniously intersect. Perfect for an evening out, each concert promises to leave you inspired and connected to Knoxville’s vibrant cultural scene.

Company West Presents Clue!

It's a dark and stormy night, and you've been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well . . . dead. So whodunnit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, Clue is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.

If you loved the game or the movie, or just like a good silly murder-mystery romp - THIS is your show!!

Company West Productions at WEST High school is pleased to bring Clue to the community.
