The Appalachian Equality Chorus invites you to join them for their highly anticipated annual holiday concert, Merry and Bright, presented by Choice Health Network–Positively Living. This festive celebration brings together a vibrant mix of traditional carols, modern holiday hits, and joyous performances that will leave you feeling warm and bright this holiday season.

The Merry and Bright concert will take place on the following dates:

  • December 20th, 2024 at 8:00 PM at the Historic Bijou Theatre.

  • December 21st, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Historic Bijou Theatre.

This year’s concert program promises a dynamic and heartwarming mix, with everything from timeless Christmas carols to modern holiday hits by artists like Kelly Clarkson, Cher, and the Indigo Girls. The chorus will be accompanied by twirling dancers, dazzling bright costumes, and a variety of merry antics that will delight audiences of all ages.

DECEPTION SHOW KNOXVILLE — A Live Comedy Game Show

Get ready for an evening of comedy and cunning at Deception Show Knoxville—a live comedy game show that's shaking up the local entertainment scene. This innovative monthly event invites you to join some of the Southeast’s funniest comedians for a hilarious night of outrageous lies, spirited debate, and audience participation.

The next show takes place on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Central Cinema, located at 1205 North Central Street, Knoxville. With free venue parking and snacks and beverages available for purchase, it’s the perfect setup for a fun-filled night out.

Here’s how it works: a panel of comedians shares secret stories or facts from their lives, which the host reads aloud in random order. The comedians then engage in a comedic battle of wits, accusations, and laughs to determine who the story belongs to. As an audience member, you’ll get to vote using your phone on who you think is lying, competing for a spot on the leaderboard and a chance to win $80 in prizes.

This event is recommended for ages 18+ due to its adult content, and don’t forget to bring a fully charged phone to participate in the fun. Tickets are refundable up to seven days before the event, but Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable.
